Title: Visit to the wind turbine at Dundalk Institute of Technology
Description: In 2005 Dundalk IT installed what is possibly the first and only large commercial wind turbine on a college campus in the world. It is used for research and to reduce the campus electricity bills (by half). The event will include a slide show of the project from conception to construction to operation and a visit to the wind turbine itself

Title: Kilgarvan Wind Farm Family Day
Description: For the kids we will have a Marquee, Bouncing Castle, Slide, Penalty Shoot-out, Clowns, Face Painting, Music and Refreshments. For the adults we will have General and Technical information on Windfarms and Wind Energy, we will also have access to a fully operational 3MegaWatt Vestas V90 Turbine (this is one of the largest commercially available turbines in Europe)

Title: Meentycat Wind Farm Open Day
Description: Wind Farm Open Day to let people see how wind farms operate and will include entertainment for all the family.
Location: Shuttle buses to the wind farm will be provided at a venue to be confirmed. No access will be allowed by public cars.
