The Irish Wind Energy Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael Walsh as Chief Executive of the Association.  Michael will take up his duties with the IWEA from 19th November.

A native of Newbridge, Co. Announcing Dr. Walsh’s appointment, IWEA President Paddy Teahon said:

“With Michael’s appointment, the IWEA is signalling its commitment to bring our organisation to the next level in terms of its professionalism and technical and policy expertise, and service to our members.  Michael is well known and highly respected in the Irish power industry, and brings will him the ideal combination of technical expertise and in-depth policy experience of energy markets and the evolution of the Irish energy sector.  Under Michael’s leadership, the IWEA will make a major contribution to the development of energy policy in Ireland and the central role of wind energy in this policy.”
