A Guide to Peat Stability Assessment

The training program is based on a working knowledge of the evolving stability assessment requirements during the planning stages for various wind farm developments over the past number of years and to demonstrate an understanding of the mechanics of peat and identify the risks associated with peat failures. The course will be provided over a one day period to facilitate local authority planners and engineering/geotechnical consultants with an understanding of the current peat assessment guidelines and the typical detail which can be expected within a peat stability assessment report.
