Large Scale Export of Green Commodities Workshop

Many commentators agree that there is a substantial opportunity for Ireland to develop a large scale renewable energy export industry. However, the complexity and novelty of this concept is significant and prospective exporters need a detailed understanding of a number of processes that are evolving in parallel. A Guide to Infrastructure Development Within Peatland Areas

The training program is based on experience gained through the working knowledge of the planning and detailed design stages of wind farm developments and on an understanding of the mechanics of peat and peat failures which have occurred in the past. The training shall be provided over one day under two separate modules, with each training module covered within a half day period targeted at various stages of developments in upland areas. The modules shall be; Planning & Design - to facilitate developers, planners and consultants involved at the initial stages of developments. Construction - to facilitate consultants, contractors and site staff involved at the construction stages of developments. The training shall be presented in a non-technical manner to enable a clear understanding of the elements and issues being discussed.

Impact of Wind Energy on Electricity Prices
