Date: Wednesday 30th November 2106 Location: IWEA, Naas

Jobseeker event at IWEA offices, inviting jobseekers with relevant or transferable skills for the Wind Industry. The event will showcase key organisations, with examples of roles that become available. It will also look at relevent training opportunities.

Topics of the day will include a brief overview of the history of wind in Ireland and:

  • A technical talk from a major turbine manufacturer - highlighting opportunities
  • A discussion on the skillset and qualities sought on a CV
  • Details of education paths and training within the industry for both jobseekers and those employed in the industry.

 The event is free to attend, but you must be registered in advance.

Social Media Masterclass 

Date: Tuesday 22nd November Location: IWEA offices, Naas

This one day bespoke bootcamp is designed with you in mind. It will show you all the possibilities for social media/digital marketing, it will walk you through best practices but it will also point out the resources that are needed to be able to carry this out.
It will look at social media engagement tips, how to approach any negative coverage online and the best ways to deal with it.
Digital and Social Media spaces such as your website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Snapchat will be looked for marketing and promotion of your organisation.

Two Day Blade Care

Date: Wednesday 19th/ Thursday 20th October Location: Cavan

The lead presenter of the course is active in the ‘Renewable Energy Academy’ in Berlin, Germany and is director of the rotor blade company ‘Blade Care GmbH’

Behavioural Safety

Date: Thursday 15th September Location: IWEA offices, Naas

This one day course is aimed at all managers and supervisors, both operational and non-operational. Even those managers with office based roles that are considered far removed from the hazards and risks of the workplace should attend in order to identify their role in supporting the developing their organisation’s safety culture.

Incident Report Writing & Courtroom Skills Training

Date:  Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 Sept 2016 Location: IWEA Offices, Naas

This two day training course will cover the relevant skills needed to complete and support an incident report in accordance with best practice. Delegates will also get a clear understanding of how to manage an incident from the initial stage right up to providing clear information to judicial investigations. Mock court scenarios will ensure hands on practical experience is gained.
